Job Description
Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including fulfilling customer orders and keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
To perform this job optimally, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Pull and stage customer orders for shipments.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Transact inventory movements using an inventory control system.
- Fill material requisition demands.
- Ensure FIFO is followed for all products with a shelf life.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
Competencies & Behaviours
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form optimally with co-workers and other departments.
Physical Requirements
- occasionally lifting ~50 pounds
- use of a pallet jack or drum dolly to move heavier loads.
- frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
- repetitive motion due to the use of computer
