Altera Clinical Solutions
Remote U.S.-based role / M.D. or D.O. required
The purpose of this role is to deliver world class demonstrations to current and prospective Altera clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with leaders of the Solution Specialists team and Sales to define opportunities and priorities for each demonstration.
- Lead the demonstration process from request, client discovery, demo preparation, demo environment configuration, delivery through post demo review, using established best practices.
- Utilizing best practice workflows and scripts, adapt the demo based on the audience to make the information relevant, relatable, and meaningful by addressing client challenges while highlighting the values of Altera solutions.
- Work continuously to improve scripts and demonstrations.
- Develop client relationships before, during and after the demonstration. Gather competitive intelligence and share appropriately.
- Embracing best practice approaches to technology, deliver demonstrations remotely as well at customer sites and trade shows.
- Communicate effectively with team members to share knowledge and resources.
- Obtain Core and Specialty certifications in designated modules of Sunrise and Paragon EHRs.
- Maintain current and evidence-based clinical knowledge in area of specialty. This includes maintaining professional licensure, continuing medical education, professional organization membership and networking as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including content and solutions, to provide clinical insight and expertise during product development and expertise.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree (MD or DO) required; current medical license preferred.
Affiliation with medical association or other industry organization (for example HIMSS, AAFP, CCHIT) preferred.
Leadership experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years post-training experience in a clinical environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, preferably with a track record of success in persuasive communication including connecting client challenges with product solutions.
- Able to provide clinical and workflow subject matter expertise in product demonstrations.
- Able to communicate with and persuade a broad array of healthcare professionals in areas outside of one’s comfort zone (for example, presenting to subspecialists in fields unrelated to one’s own).
- Able to collaborate effectively in a team setting with affiliated nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and administrative experts.
- Able to identify problems and propose creative solutions.
- Deep understanding of current trends, opportunities, and challenges in health information technology.
- Proficiency in electronic collaboration and remote presentation tools (ex. Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Healthcare IT experience, preferred.
- Direct experience with Altera solutions, preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
50-75% travel. This includes overnight and occasional weekend travel, the majority of which is domestic. Occasional international travel may be required.
LOCATION
- Remote U.S.-based role
- Must live within an hour drive of a major airport.
- Peak times include end of month, end of quarter and end of year. During this time PTO time may be limited to meet the needs of the business.

Salary Range$175,000—$190,000 USD
