Job Description
Role Accountabilies
The person will report to the Practice Group Manager (PGM) of Education for US West & Mexico, as well as the PGM / Studio Manager(s) related to the projects this person will work on.
Responsibilities could include:
- Collaborate with Urban Designers / Planners / Landscape Architects on a variety of private and public sector urban design, landscape architecture, master planning and planning projects
- Independently manage smaller projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on larger / complex projects.
- Develop masterplans, site plans, built form and massing for a variety of projects ranging in complexity, scope and context
- Prepare and support in the presentation of high-quality graphic presentations, detailed design schemes and reports
- Engage with and manage Clients/Stakeholders and ensuring deadlines and budgetary constraints are met for all projects
- Demonstrate strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills and ensure that a high level of professionalism and design excellence are upheld within each project
- Work with senior leadership and participate in responding and developing the creative content for RFP responses and supporting relevant marketing and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a 4 year degree program at an established university that has a focus toward Urban Design, Planning, and / or Architecture.
- Internships at other Urban Design & Architecture offices would be a plus, but not a requirement
- Inquisitive, self-motivated and detail driven individual with strong organizational skillsPossess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of assisting in the preparation of reports and developing design narratives
• Critical thinking to create content for engaging and creative presentations through storytelling. - Capacity to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail/precision
• Capacity to uphold design excellence in challenging project time frames and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite InDesign
