Job Description
The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and decision making within the organization. This individual will be instrumental in leading the finance team and contributing to efforts to ensure accurate reporting.
Job Duties:
Board and Bank Reporting: Own and manage the preparation of board and bank reporting materials, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance to stakeholders.
Recurring Business Analysis: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of business performance in partnership with Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams to provide insights into operational effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting: Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections. Generate insightful financial reports and presentations to facilitate decision-making.
Business Performance Analysis: Provide real-time analysis of key business metrics, such as campus filling rates, to identify trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for enhancing results.
Return on Investment (ROI) Analysis: Evaluate the ROI of proposed business initiatives and investments, ensuring that all decisions are supported by thorough financial analysis and align with organizational objectives.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ad Hoc Requests: Respond promptly and effectively to ad hoc requests for financial analysis and insights from the CFO, CEO, and VP of FP&A, providing actionable recommendations based on sound financial principles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strong leadership and team management role, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
5-7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on strategic decision support and business partnering
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
