Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Employee Events & Communications, this role oversees a team of professionals supporting Wynn Las Vegas’ employee culture, including events, recognition programs and the storytelling program.
Job Responsibilities:
Organize, manage and plan for department projects to ensure they are progressing within the established budget and timeline.
Assign, monitor and review project tasks and communications to ensure they are executed according to department standards and expectations.
With support from the events and communications teams, prepare project deliverables for department leadership review and approval.
Act as lead copyeditor for team deliverables, supporting communications team with short- and long-form copywriting as needed.
Work closely with internal and external partners to obtain quotes and/or invoices for project deliverables, placing final orders for events and communications materials.
Attend and support department events, ensuring event programming is executed and creative content is captured by team as needed.
Manage Employee Events and Communications team, including employee timekeeping, recognition, coaching and discipline.
Conduct regular staff meetings to review team progress and provide status reports to department leadership.
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements & Preferences:
Preferred minimum of four years’ experience in human resources, communications or a related field.
Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
Requires a minimum of one year experience in a supervisory/management role.
Must possess excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate, read and write in English in a professional manner.
Strong understanding of special events, ranging from basic programs to large-scale distributions and formal events
Keen attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software
Ability to prioritize, pivot, troubleshoot and recover in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule depending on department needs, including the ability to work all shifts and days as needed.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
Applies good judgment, works efficiently within a team and keeps superiors informed.
