KIPP Chicago has new allocations for Paraprofessionals for the 23-24 school year. Our hiring process for Paraprofessional positions will be expedited and will include:
Expectations specific to the Paraprofessional role are:
Working individually with students to ensure the requirements of their IEPs are met
Collaborating with Special Education teachers to ensure the requirements of students’ IEPs are met
Collaborating with general education teachers to ensure the requirements of students’ IEPs are met
Maintain prompt and consistent attendance to work and assigned responsibilities during daily school hours, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Associate’s degree OR 60 hours college coursework completed OR score of 460 or higher on the ParaPro test OR passing scores on three sections of the WorkKeys test (required)
Illinois Paraprofessional license or Substitute (required)
Experience with students with diverse needs (preferred)
Experience with low-income, urban students (preferred)
Cleared CPS Background check (required)
Documentation of full Covid-19 vaccination by 10/15/2021, unless approved medical or religious exemption (required)
