Job Description

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS - 19 APRIL 2024

Using internal systems for recording deliveries and distributing them to the relevant departments and persons.
Contacting external couriers if there are any issues with shipments inbound and outbound to identify why there are issues and what can be done to resolve
Empty outside drop boxes daily, i.e. start of a shift, mid shift and end of your shift.

Book courier collections for overnight and same day collections
Managing emails to Hospital for collections, deliveries, eta’s and any other information
Handover courier collections ensuring correct courier and correct collection times
Processing bulk shipping parcels to go out to Hospitals and Consultants, this includes UN3373 Category B Samples UK and abroad (Abroad creating commercial Invoices)
Processing shipping parcels and packages for internal departments to send out.
Organise local Taxi runs to Consultants for transferring Glass Slides inbound and outbound
Liaise with Customer care with reference to their requirements or enquiries.
Updating couriers’ databases with name, addresses, phone numbers etc, including Pathology box labels
Ensuring all collections arrive outbound and Inbound where tracking information is available to do so.
Covering Stores inventory in the absence of stores person
Running daily courier manifests to ensure up to date
Answering phone calls internal and external
Monitoring and giving access to entrance barrier, courier and front door visitors.
Visitors signed in and if needed access pass and sign visitors’ book to ensure visitor passes are returned, also informing the relevant department or persons that their visitor has arrived.
Maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets Daily and Monthly in line with courier outbound/inbound
Making up consumable items to send to hospitals or consultants.
Ordering courier stationary ensuring enough supplies available
Keeping work area clean, neat and tidy, emptying bins
Securing area when leaving for the day, ensuring doors, windows are locked, and fire doors are closed
Liaising with other sites for all needs
On call for Freezer & Fridges in Stores and out of hours courier enquires
Any other reasonable request from Management
