Turner & Townsend alinea is on track to become London’s cost consultancy of choice, as a truly data-led, digital consultancy and an authority on the economics of sustainability. Working in a small and specialist Research & Insight team, this exciting new role will be key to expanding and developing our research capability and offering.
Data and information are the lifeblood of our business, but it is the analysis, insight and questioning which ensures that our clients and their teams get the best possible service from us. Our research is focused on the construction and property markets which are driven by the economic/ political landscape. It is therefore key to examine the macro economic drivers as well as the micro project specifics, and ensure that knowledge is shared amongst our team.
Roles and responsibilities
• Research and prepare regular reports and outputs.
• Carrying out research for discrete projects
• Support internal and external knowledge sharing
• Respond to ad hoc requests for knowledge and investigations.
Qualities required
• An enthusiasm for research, some knowledge/understanding of the built environment (or an enthusiasm to learn)
• A track record of producing research reports (can be either within employment or higher-education).
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• An interest in current economics and politics.
• A high level of organisational skills.
• Ability to gather information from a variety of sources to summarise and analyse in a variety of ways.
• Use of Microsoft Office to a high standard (especially Excel).
• Ability to use Adobe InDesign preferable but not essential.
• Ability to use social media such as LinkedIn and Twitter preferable to share our Research and Insight.
