Turner & Townsend is a leading global consultancy across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. We’re passionate about making the difference, transforming performance on the world’s most impactful programmes for a green, inclusive and productive world. That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.
The Performance Forum, managed by Turner & Townsend, is a joint industry project of 23 leading energy companies. Over the past 30 years, the Performance Forum has developed best practice data collection and benchmarking methodologies for use on conventional energy capital portfolios. The sharing of outturn data has developed industry leading external benchmarks for cost and schedule of upstream facilities, considered ‘must have’ information for the members. Through study groups, webinars and workshops, it has enabled collaboration, lessons learned and industry improvement and as the oil and gas industry transitions to new energies and technologies, our scope is expanding to include clean energy and low carbon solutions.
Recent trends in the energy sector and a global focus on the energy transition means we are looking for a Consultant to join the Performance Forum team based in Edinburgh (hybrid working options available). With knowledge of oil and gas facilities, the successful candidate will be a commercially focused analytical thinker, with excellent interpersonal skills. Exposure to renewable energy projects and the technologies that support the industry’s net-zero ambitions would be an advantage. Working within the Performance Forum you will collaborate with the wider Natural Resources team gaining exposure to other areas of the business and the opportunities this can bring.
As a Performance Forum Consultant, you will be focused on identifying emerging cost and schedule trends across all facility types, understanding drivers of project cost overruns, highlighting areas of risk, and providing independent benchmarking studies to our clients.
