Job Description

As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to various projects and programmes, ensuring their smooth and efficient delivery. You will work closely with project managers, senior executives, and other stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

Working as a Project Support Officer on a range of tasks, to include:

  • Acting as the Project Assurance Panel secretariat, preparing agendas, minutes, and action logs for the panel meetings, and ensuring timely follow-up and communication with stakeholders
  • Providing support and resilience to Senior Executive Boards, assisting with the coordination, planning, and reporting of board activities, and managing the board calendar and documents
  • Providing assistance to the information management function, supporting the weeding of the online filing system, maintaining the data quality and integrity, and ensuring compliance with the information security policies and standards
  • Supporting the creation of organisation charts and process updates, using various tools and software to create and update the charts and documents that reflect the current structure and workflow of the organisation
  • Supporting onboarding of new team members, providing them with the necessary information, guidance, and training to help them settle in and perform their roles effectively
  • General admin support, such as booking travel and accommodation, arranging meetings and events, ordering supplies and equipment, and handling correspondence and queries

Other responsibilities, to include:

  • Preparing presentation materials for client pitches, etc
  • Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, project management, or a related field
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a consultancy or professional services environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and familiarity with other tools and software such as SharePoint, Teams, and Visio
  • A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A keen interest in learning and developing new skills and knowledge

Desirable

  • Experience of working on projects or programmes in the construction, infrastructure, or natural resources sectors
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices

Experience of using project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or Aconex
