Right around the globe, people are using transportation, buildings, and assets that Graduates at Turner & Townsend have helped to deliver. For more than 75 years, as an independent professional services company, we have been making the difference, transforming performance for a green, inclusive, and productive world. With a growing team of over 10,000 in 50 different countries, we specialise in programme, project and cost management and consulting in the property, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors. It’s our people who set us apart; we love a challenge. We are stronger together, and we recognise and nurture potential to bring out the best in everyone.
We provide opportunities for those at university to gain valuable industry experience during their degree and earn while they learn through a structured year-placement. Applicants should be completing a year in industry as part of their degree course. This placement is particularly suitable for those currently studying a built environment degree. During this year you will complete year one of the Graduate Development Programme (GDP) which will include all the online training modules as well as working full time on client sites or working in our offices on internal projects throughout the year.
If you complete a placement with us, you will have the opportunity to fast-track on to another placement or directly on to the GDP. Your fast-track route will be determined by the amount of time you have left at university. If you are just returning for your final year, we will be able to fast-track you straight on to the GDP.
Placements allow you to get a head start in your career before you have graduated and give you an opportunity to gain an insight into a career with us.
As a placement with Turner & Townsend you will have the opportunity to develop first class consultancy skills and work with industry leading clients on some of the most exciting projects across the UK.
The benefits we offer include:
Please be aware that we recruit on a rolling basis so it is important to apply as early as possible.
In some regional roles being able to drive will be necessary due to the location of client offices. Please also note this is not a remote role as we operate a hybrid working approach you will need to be willing and able to work in a Turner & Townsend office or a client site.
To be considered for roles in the Defence arena you will need to pass both a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check and UKSV SC clearance – this process will initiated once you have accepted an offer and have indicated you are happy to go through these checks. A summary of the checks involved can be found here.
