Job Description

Assistant Resident Engineer - Landscape with strong experience in UAE is required to supervise Landscape projects in Al Ain. Responsibilities are listed below.

  • Deputize for Senior Resident Engineer.
  • Attend all major meetings and follow-up on action items.
  • Participate in contract administration.
  • Obtain Government approvals.
  • Track status of project with respect to approvals, coordination, etc.
  • Report back as necessary to the Senior Resident Engineer and Senior Landscape Engineer.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Coordinate client requests.
  • Direct the site supervision related to Landscaping, Irrigation, and associated works.
  • Responsible for reviewing all shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, any requests for information relating to the landscaping, irrigation, and associated works.
  • Coordinate with AECOM's design Engineers for resolution of related issues.
  • Maintain the Senior Landscape Engineer’s daily diary and reports by his subordinates.
  • Coordinate with the Contractor on scheduling and application of resources.
  • Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the construction team working on the supervision of the construction of the landscaping, irrigation, and associated works.
  • Coordinate with Employer, the Contractor, and related concerned authorities.
  • Advise on contractual and construction matters regarding irrigation and landscaping works and associated works, and other related works.
  • Generally, supervise, review, monitor and report on the progress of the landscaping, irrigation, and associated works.
  • Liaise with all parties for site safety.
  • Convene and chair regular site meetings about issues related to landscaping work and related activities.
  • Issue additional drawings as required in coordination with the design office.
  • Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.
  • Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Project Safety Representatives.
  • Comply with safety, health, and risk management requirements.
  • Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions for landscape, irrigation, and other related activities.
  • Check and measure the performed work and record and display progress vs programmed work.
  • Prepare progress reports as applicable.
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings in his discipline.
  • PAC and FAC preparation.
  • Coordinate handing-over schedules.
  • Coordinate close-out report.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong Construction supervision experience.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports etc
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Engineering or equivalent
