Job Description
AECOM/Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a General Superintendent in our Phoenix office for our current and future construction projects.
- Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
- Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
- Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations.
- Communicates and directs through other superintendents' changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
- Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
- Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS + 12 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience working for a large General Contractor in high-rise commercial.
Preferred Requirements:
- 12 years of progressive experience working as a GC on vertical construction projects.
- Experience with datacenter and critical environment construction.
- Experience interacting with subcontractors to meet daily/week goals.
- Experience interfacing with other management as well as owners’ reps.
- Occasionally travel between project site and AECOM office may be required.
- Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work.
