Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Project Controls Engineer III to be based in Piscataway, NJ.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress.
  • Schedule on various transportation and building construction contracts.
  • Provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization, and mitigation of construction delays.
  • Review and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time Extensions.
  • Assist in the defense of contract time-related disputes and/or claims; including but not limited to dispute/claim analysis, defects and damage calculations, delay, disruption, and acceleration impact analysis.
  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with the construction team.
  • Provide construction management, scheduling support. Read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Develop construction schedules or contract time determination schedules using contract documents and Primavera P6.
  • Develop what-if schedules using Primavera P6. Assist in updating policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project management.
  • Cost loading and reviewing cost loaded construction schedules.
  • Time impact analysis and utilize various delay analysis methods.
  • Review and analysis of Contractor’s baseline, update, time impact, delay, acceleration, mitigation and what-if CPM schedule submissions utilizing Primavera P6 for highway/bridge/rail transportation and urban building construction projects.
  • May telecommute.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience  in the job offered or in a project controls engineering-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Oracle Primavera P6 software;

2. Reviewing baseline and updating construction schedules;

3. Reviewing and performing time impact analysis of construction delays;

4. Critical Path Method Scheduling;

5.  Construction methods for buildings, interiors, highways, bridges and rail transportation systems;

6. Preparing and running construction schedule meetings;

7.  Performing construction delay analysis;

8.   Performing construction mitigation analysis;

9.   Developing a construction mitigation plan; and

10.   Working with NYC building construction permitting.
