Job Description
We are currently seeking a Program SH&E Manager to be based Riverdale, MD. This position will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall safety program for a $10 billion transit construction project. The chosen candidate will have strong communication skills, high levels of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position will be onsite full-time at the project office in Riverdale, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Perform a variety of tasks related to overall Program Safety Department
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Safety Related oversight activities.
- Create reports for FTA and other outside agencies that conveys the safety status of the project in a concise accurate manner
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide oversight to the HSE program across all organizations on the project
- Develop action plans and recommendations for improvements to HSE
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BA/BS Construction, Environmental, Engineering, Safety, or related field
- 8 years of SH&E construction-related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Transit SH&E construction experience
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 certified or better
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with the FTA Safety Certification process for transit projects
- Experience with construction industry incident rates, data reporting, and data interpretation
- Experience developing SH&E organizational processes and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with relevant software applications or tools.
- Experience communicating and educating SH&E guidelines and principles
- Experience working collaboratively in a team or independent
- Experience with adapting to new tasks or responsibilities.
- Experience in communicating and upholding company values and standards.
