Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architect to be based in our Rocky Hill, CT office.
The Architect will be responsible for the following items:
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations
- Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables
- Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets
- May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project
- May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel
- May review and approve conceptual designs
- Review and enforce specifications in construction administration
- May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques
- Field construction administration support to observe construction, produce field reports and benchmark systems and construction
- Under direction of the Supervising Architect, check and coordinate shop drawings for conformance with field conditions and design documentation

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS in Architecture or equivalent degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Project production experience, standards and regulations
- Detailing experience
- Experience with building codes
- Experience with transportation and aviation architecture project reviews of design and construction documentation
- Revit, BIM 360, Navis/Glue expertise required
- Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed as a registered Architect
- Aviation and Transit experience
- NCARB accreditation
- LEED Accredited Professional
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks on a daily basis
- Work efficiently and effectively within a team environment
