We are looking for an Air Quality Consultant to join our team who can bring their skills, ideas and enthusiasm, drawing on their consultancy experience, to enable them to work on our exciting projects from Day 1. The role will involve them working closely alongside junior and senior team members delivering a wide variety of projects for public and private clients.
- Principal accountabilities:
- Air quality monitoring

- GIS, data analysis and interpretation

- Our 45+ Air Quality experts in the UK are developing guidance, driving digital approaches and solving complex challenges to provide a cleaner, healthier future. With a geographic reach covering the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, our comprehensive range of services supports clients across diverse markets. This includes supporting healthier and thriving neighbourhoods, contributing to the energy transition and improving transport links. Through advanced modelling techniques, monitoring programmes, emission inventories and odour assessments we bring air quality positive solutions at all stages of a project’s lifecycle.
- Day-to-day you may be: performing dispersion modelling using ADMS for a National Highways road project; designing a dust monitoring programme for Network Rail; writing code to help interpret and analyse data for Transport Infrastructure Ireland; performing occupational exposure monitoring for Royal Mail; writing an air quality chapter for an Environmental Statement for a National Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP); coaching a new member of staff and sharing your skills and knowledge.

- You will receive help and guidance to develop your skills and shape your career in the direction you want to head in.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Air Quality Consultant
- Educated to degree level or further, in a numerate subject
- Good communicator with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors alike) and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
- Extensive experience of the use of air quality modelling software (e.g. ADMS) and GIS. Programming skills (e.g. R studio) advantageous.
- Highly competent with Microsoft Office, in particular an expert user of Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard working, organised under pressure
- Good team worker and also able to work independently without losing initiative & focus
