Job Description

What your new role will entail; 


Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team in Warrington, we are looking enhance our capabilities and are seeking to recruit an experienced Project Manager, Nuclear to work on one of our high-profile projects. 

In this high-profile role, you will be one of the first points of direct contact with the external client/s for the progress, commercial and contractual responsibilities on the project, working closely with the AECOM Project Engineering Manager and Senior Project Manager. 

The project has just entered the RIBA 3 stage and we are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team, to work through the current and subsequent project phases including RIBA 4, the implementation on site (RIBA 5) and subsequent commissioning.  It is currently expected that the project will continue for a minimum of another 3 – 4 years. 

Your role will involve client-side management including actively providing progress reports and financial reports, while managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with client and their team, internal AECOM project resources, the internal AECOM Operations Team and other relevant project parties. 

You will be involved with the coordination of project schedules and key milestones to set a solid scope-baseline schedule with adequate resources, implementing an effective project management process throughout the project's lifecycle to execution. Additionally, establishing operating budgets with the client, Project Engineering Manager, Senior Project Manager, and AECOM Operations and Financial Leads, ensuring accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource utilization.

This is an exciting time for the Nuclear Team with an interesting and expanding pipeline of both international and UK based projects. 

Here’s what we will need from you; 

  • Experienced in professional client-side project management experience. 
  • Significant expertise in executing the responsibilities of a Project Manager within high-profile projects." 
  • Proven ability in effectively delivering projects on time and on budget, meeting quality and client expectations. 
  • Ensure development and adherence to the projects approved scope of work. 
  • Provide Project Management support to the Project Engineering Manager, Senior Project Manager and Lead Design Engineers as required. 
  • To operate as the main point of contact for all commercial, financial requests for the project, communicate effectively with clients and internal team members. 
  • Establish, track and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis. 
  • Ability to use various Project Management Software supported by excellent IT skills. 
  • A results-driven and client focused approach to ensure successful project delivery. 
  • Full UK driving license or equivalent that permits driving in the UK. 
  • To meet the requirements for security clearance in the UK. 

You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.

Qualifications

Desired qualifications:

  • Project Management Qualification (APM).
  • Competency in utilising Project Management tools such as Primavera.
  • A British National i.e. not a Dual nationality/passport holder.
  • Able to meet the requirements for BPSS and SC security clearance in the UK.
