Job Description
Segula Technologies are currently looking for a number of Civil Design Engineers for a project in Bristol, see below what you can expect from the role:
Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data from other disciplines for the scope of responsibility (specific civil batch or building).
Production of deliverables for which they are responsible (design hypotheses, methodology and assumption notes; technical specifications; calculation notes).
Coordinate the work of CAD Designers.
Perform technical verifications of civil engineering design notes, models and drawings.
Coordinate comments from other external entities on the above documents and make sure that the final content is agreed by all parties.
Contribute to a correct design configuration management: preparation of design changes, participation to design change committees, use of open points management tool and of the margin management tool when appropriate.
Contribution to the load management process.
Manage the interface with the civil designers, providing them all the necessary inputs at the right time, following their progress and making sure the design is delivered on time.
Contribute to CDM reviews, create and maintain the Design Risk Register.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering
Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.
