Job Description
The Charge Nurse-12 Hours-Clinical Decision Unit/Observation Unit reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Charge Nurse assumes accountability and responsibility in the primary function of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care on his/her assigned shift. The Charge Nurse serves as a teacher, clinician, resource person and quality control agent.
Qualifications
Must be registered nurse in Illinois.
Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers) required.
Minimum of three years experience in a clinical area required.
BSN preferred.
Must be committed to leadership and problem solving ability.
Possess excellent patient care, staff recruitment-retention-development, and performance improvement
