Job Description
The Grounds maintenance technician will report directly to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for all facets of grounds and track maintenance across the site.
Responsibilities (including but not exclusive to)
- Grass, hedge and forestry maintenance including some landscaping.
- Wild flower meadow maintenance
- Loose track grading and maintenance
- Road sweeping
- Drainage and ditch maintenance including high pressure jetting
- Test facility maintenance
- Road repairs
- White lining
- Environmental maintenance works including gulley sucking
- Waste management
- Fork lift loading
- Maintenance and repairs of Plant machinery (Mowers, excavators etc)
- Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times.
Qualifications
Skills and experience in mechanical plant equipment maintenance and repair.
- Operation of heavy plant machinery including excavators, fork lift trucks, tractors, mowers etc etc (National Plant Operators licence desirable)
- Good customer communication skills
- Flexibility and a can do attitude
- Willingness to work in the elements
- Team work skills
- Flexibility to travel as and when required (if applicable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check (if applicable)
