A member of the UTAC Special Vehicles UK Team, these roles are involved in delivering project work for UTAC Special Vehicles. We are a project orientated business and see a large number of various project types; from minor modification of OEM platforms through to significant conversion activity. More detailed projects require elements of mechanical, electrical and trim operations to be carried out. Typically stripping parts of a car to BIW, installing and modifying electrical and mechanical systems and components before rebuilding. Tasks can also include off vehicle sub assembly, chassis development as well as bespoke installations of trim and electronic systems to the vehicle interior, working alongside UTAC SV’s engineering function in the design and development of future vehicle projects.
Special Vehicles are looking for a number of technicians, requirements vary from those with automotive welder/fabricator, bodyshop and general workshop experience.
This technician role supports various programmes in the development & build of prototype vehicles as well as series production activity.
