Overview:
The Manager of Sourcing Operations & Production works directly with internal teams & vendors to develop & deliver the operational processes for Production. Primary responsibilities include analyzing & optimizing current processes, identifying metrics (KPIs) to measure performance & managing strategic projects as assigned. Maintaining profitability, on-time delivery & best practices for business and garment vendors are core competencies for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Support strategic objectives of the production functions through system enhancement, process implementation & performance reporting
- Streamline production processes from start of production to garment delivery
- Enhance overall efficiency, reduce lead times & maintain profitability within Production Operations
- Lead entire process improvement integrations from start to finish
- Conduct thorough reviews of processes & identify opportunities for optimization & automation regularly
- Develop & maintain documentation of all configurations, processes & standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Production Team. Manage the preparation & distribution of communications to all relevant parties
- Partner with IT Team to develop custom reports & dashboarding to provide real-time visibility into performance & key metrics
- Collaborate with IT Team to customize business systems for production processes
- Support Production Team with onboarding of new garment vendors
- Identify KPIs with garment vendors & Production Team to support operational effectiveness
- Maintain & review vendor scorecards with garment vendors
- Analyze & provide clear & concise reports to ensure all Production KPIs are being met
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity & consistency of Production Team
- Analyze seasonal and annual data to identify production trends
- Manage one direct report (Production Coordinator)
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork & employee development to achieve operational goals & maintain a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years experience in Production, Operations or similar role
- Ability to multi-task & manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational & time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
- Commitment & superior attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment, build trust & relationships with vendors & cross-functional partners
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to be flexible & adapt to changing work environment
- Strong interpersonal & listening skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in ERP & systematic WIP systems
- Positive attitude & desire to develop & improve
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
