An exciting opportunity has become available for a part-time Trainee Dental Nurse at our well-established private practice, Aviemore Dental & Implant Clinic.
About the role and practice
This Portman Dental Practice is highly respected in this small community. The 4-surgery practice with dentistry, therapy and a visiting implant professional prides itself upon the quality of care it delivers and is a great place to start and develop your career as a Dental Nurse.
No previous dental experience is needed for this role. If you have a genuine interest in health and well-being, possess a specific interest in dentistry and have an aptitude to learn, grow and develop, we want to hear from you. At Portman Dental Care you will have the resources and support you need to help you succeed in becoming a fully qualified Dental Nurse
What’s in it for you?
- 33 hours per week, 8:15 - 17:15pm plus late night a fortnight and one sat a month
- Training supported by our highly experienced team - your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by Portman
- Permanent placement upon successful completion of course (average course duration is around 18 months)

What do we look for in our Trainee Nurses?
- A good standard of English, Maths and Science (ideally SCQF Level 4) is essential to undertake the course
- You are a team player and a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care comes naturally to you
- You will be a key player in the team providing chair side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
- You will learn to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures.
- You will be excited to undergo training as required to develop your skills and abilities
