Overview
The Integration Engineer will champion the Systems Engineering approach on Major Projects. Provide guidance and development of best practice techniques to support the application of the Business Management System to requirements management, design integration and technical interfaces. Manage design integration between assets, elements, systems and products. Manage technical interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Integration Engineer role is an intermediate-level professional role in the Engineering Family and operates within the Major Projects Business Unit as part of an Operations and Integration Team. The Operation and Integration function is a capability within each project which aims to coordinate and manage engineering requirements, design integration and interfaces to deliver a high-quality engineering design that meets the user requirements.
Qualified and experienced to:
The Integration Engineer should have a degree in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and practices.
The successful candidate should be recognised by an industry/professional body, e.g. Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council, or working towards this status. Knowledge and experience of submarine maintenance and/or design in the nuclear industry is beneficial to the role.
