Job Description
Joint Design Office – Civil Engineering Works
Activities to be carried out as part of the service:
A support is required to support the Civils Lead.
The activities aim at modifying and adapting the design received from the Back Office, substantiating the adapted design of the reinforced concrete structures and associated interfaces on the Hinkley Point C project.
Main Activities
- Receive, analyse, and verify the consistency of the input data.
- Modifying concrete structure designs (including interfaces) compliant with the ETC- C and, other relevant codes,
- Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the CW design,
- Working and reviewing with the designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models modified,
- Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
- Liaising with colleagues in Edvance Paris (Malakoff), Bristol or Tours.
- Liaise with subject matter experts.

- Building layout teams & Piping layout team
- Civils team (Client)
- Tier 1 contractor
Qualifications
Required technical skills:
Essential:
- Knowledge of Structural Civil Work, Civil Design and Construction Experience in Nuclear civil work OR complex structure Experience in design of concrete structure
- Experience in detailed design or conceptual design in an office or on a civil construction site Experience on project dealing with material interfaces.
Desirable:
- Experience with on site design support Experience on large projects Required software skills:
- TEKLA, PDMS
