Job Description

o                Develop and manage Level 2 programme in Primavera on behalf of the Client alongside other Client planners, across a varied portfolio of works.

o                Review of programme elements of scope documents as part of procurements.

o                Interfacing with supply chain to review programmes in accordance with NEC4 requirements (e.g., Clause 31, Clause 32, and Compensation Event programmes).

o                Updating progress in the Level 2 from Supply Chain and Client project teams and reviewing forecasting for remaining works.

o                Manage programme interfaces between different projects and suppliers.

o                Support re-baseline of the Level 2 programme.

o                Manage baseline changes and develop ‘what-if’ scenarios where required.

o                Reporting to various stakeholders - internally and externally.

o                Develop strong working relationships that contribute to a positive working environment.

Responsibilities:

Working with a team of planners for the portfolio. Following planning documents (Process / procedures) and identifying areas where continuous improvements can be captured.

Support the monthly drumbeat with required progress / forecast updates. Meet reporting requirements through monthly drumbeat and into PMR’s. Develop Project specific schedules.

Project Interfaces:

 

Client, project managers, Commercial Managers, Contractors and Consultants, PCM, Cost Manager, Document Manager and all relevant stakeholders

 

Qualifications

Qualifications, Special Skills and Experience:

Excellent Primavera (P6) knowledge

Experience of major projects containing integrated schedules

Experience, across all stages of the project life cycle

Substantial experience of planning services in medium to large sized projects within the construction industry and regulated industries

Experience in managing schedules on NEC Projects

Good experience in the use of planning techniques and the relevant planning toolset

Good understanding of the various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications

Good understanding of the various methods of planning, programme, and progress monitoring

Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with reference to planning & programming

Good understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay, or change entitlement

Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular; Excel, Word, and Outlook

Strong communication skills, including writing reports & presenting.

Sole UK National

Hybrid working - Glasgow office 2-3 days/week

Ideally Staff but Umbrella Contractor considered
