OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working out of our modern offices in Gibraltar, London or Bratislava you will diligently, accurately and efficiently take responsibility for the successful completion of the accounting cycle. This includes the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking entries, intercompany transactions, payroll journals and the upload of your accounts to the OneStream Group reporting tool. Working for a NASDAQ listed entity, you will take pride in the robust nature of the controls you operate, including the maintenance of a suite of supporting reconciliations that evidence the truth and accuracy of the financial position of the business.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

For the entity(s) under your responsibility:

  • The accurate and timely posting of all journals to the Microsoft Dynamics accounting system in line with the group accounting manual and GAAP/IFRS.
  • Swift and accurate booking of accounts payable and accounts receivable in line with the group reporting timeline.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in the accurate and timely creation of statutory financial statements.
  • Both respond to and initiate business queries enabling you to develop a solid understanding of the transactions you post. Being driven to understand “why” you do your job, as well as “how”.
  • With the support of the Accounting Manager and your team members, understanding, appreciating and acting as a key component of the control environment  in the context of a Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliant business.
  • Maintenance of a suite of reconciliations across the balance sheet including bank, creditor/debtors, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, settlement (control) accounts, and the development of new reconciliations as the need arises.
  • Reviewing reports and settling the P&L accounting entries, providing FP&A with high quality information in a timely fashion each month/quarter as applicable.
  • With the support of the Accounting Manager, to manage the external accountant relationship.
  • Act as key contact for external audit.
  • Sharing your expertise in a project setting as and when required.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative regulatory requirements and standards.
  • All associated tasks as required.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

Essential:

  • 3-5 years experience in an accounting function
  • Large company or top 10 audit firm experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel
  • Charismatic individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude who can build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and the rest of your team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with a high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Sound working knowledge of accounting principles

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics accounting system
  • Experience with the OneStream group reporting system
  • Experience within the gaming industry
  • Publicly listed company experience is highly desirable

Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA

Additional information

Base pay for this position starts from 2000 EUR / month gross. The final salary depends on the skills and requirements; there is further eligibility for a additional annual bonus that comes along with this role and is based on performance and your seniority.
