OVERVIEW: 

As a member of Sportradar’s Global People Team, the VP, People Partnering Engineering will provide human resources business partnering to our Chief Information and Chief Technical Officer, as well as the cross-divisional senior Engineering leaders.  

Sportradar’s Engineering population consists of 1000+ FTE across multiple divisions, meaning you will also partner with our Divisional People Partners working in a matrix environment. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing people strategies and fostering a positive culture of growth and innovation within a fast-paced, change-driven environment. This position will lead employee relations, talent strategy, and organizational development that will fuel a results-oriented and high-performing Engineering workforce. 
 

THE CHALLENGE: 

  • Business Partnering: Act as a sparring partner to the CIO, the CTO and the Engineering leadership team, handling end-to-end HR support for leaders and senior managers in the division.
  • Strategy delivery: has a good understanding of Engineering jobs, processes, best practices and trends to align and adapt opportunities the Global People strategy with the overall business and Engineering strategy.
  • Ensure a robust delivery of the People Strategy across the division  and advise and coach leadership on specifically on: Talent and Succession: ensures talent pipeline meets the company ambition in line with the People Strategy.
  • Capabilities Development: identify up-skilling/re-skilling needs, develop and execute the capabilities plan, including yearly divisional learning plans and effective resource planning and hiring.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to build a world class talent pipeline, ensuring the right roles, capabilities and frameworks are in place to deliver the divisional requirements.
  • Reward strategies, in line with our global framework.
  • Performance Management: is accountable to drive the divisional scorecard alignment to the company goals and the full Performance cycle in the division. Coach and guide leaders to lead an efficient and performing division. 
  • Culture and Engagement: is the guardian of the company values and drives culture and engagement initiatives that foster an environment where company values are Performance Management and organization effectiveness.
  • Change management and organization effectiveness: people-related strategies and data-driven decisions including organizational design, change management  total rewards.
  • Partner with the global Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Systems & Ops, People Potential and Organizational Development) to develop and deliver best-in-class people initiatives for global Engineering teams. 
  • Work closely with the global People Partner team on matrixed team support, and share experience and best practices with global counterparts. 
  • Advise the Engineering Leadership in driving company values, and engagement initiatives.  
  • Ensure a high performing and efficient organization.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of People Partners who will help to deliver against the People Strategy.
  • Collaborates with the VP Group People Partnering and Operations to execute divisional strategies for the function across multiple locations.

 

YOUR PROFILE: 

  • Extensive previous experience as People/HR Business Partner, including 5 years leading large teams in a fast-growing global and matrixed organization. Experience in the Tech industry and/or a fast-growing company is preferred
  • Previous experience partnering with C-Suite Executives in a globally distributed workforce 
  • Business and financial acumen 
  • Solid knowledge and know-how as generalist practitioner in talent acquisition, talent development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and labour law 
  • Use of HRIS strong communication, with ability to adapt to different stakeholder groups 
  • Project management skills 
  • Bachelor´s/Master´s degree in HRM or related field, or experience equivalent 
  • This role will require occasional travel, both domestically and internationally 
  • English fluent; additional languages are considered a plus
