The Impact of a Sr. Director, Digital Marketing to Coupa:
The digital marketing lead is responsible for the development, execution and standardization of global campaigns and coupa.com. The role includes team leadership, strategic stewardship, cross-functional team collaboration amd brand management all to improve the appeal and advocacy of the Coupa brand externally and internally.

What you will do:

  • This role is both strategic and executional helping cement Coupa’s market position while identifying and nurturing untapped business opportuinities from Stage 0 to Stage 2 through a holistic and optimized brand-to-demand-to-sales marketing experience
  • This role would manage Coupa campaign execution and the coupa.com experience through a programmatic development approach considering messaging, campaign strategy, content, customer marketing, partner marketing, website, events, social media, corporate communications, sales enablement, etc.
  • The ambition is develop high-quality, high-value communication experience flawlessly, while streamlining excessive cycles that impact creativity, breakthrough, speed-to-value, and cost
  • This role will be a persistent driver of continuous improvement, creativity, brand management and integrated program orchestration—from campaigns to the website to the Sales team
  • Success will be achieved through effective team leadership, communication, collaboration, expectation setting, strategic guidance, execution and results
  • Drive top-of-the-funnel growth through integrated, multi-channel programs—specifically advertising, demand generation, events, content, influencer marketing and brand-building digital experiences
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Coupa, including the company’s opportunities and challenges, key leadership championing marketing needs, as well as the operational and financial processes required to complete assisnments
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the category, competition, and challenges that affect company success
  • Consistently apply brand standards across all marketing communications and audience touchpoints
  • Establish executional standard and implement best practices across all areas of marketing
  • Maintain service level agreement established with internal constituents requiring marketing support
  • Nurture a positive culture and esprit de corps challenging conventional thinking to achieve breakthrough ideas that transform market perceptions and accelerate goal achievement—strategically, executionally, operationally
  • Institute a “value creation” and P&L mindset across all planning and execution activities and support program-level financial issues when required
  • Measure and monitor program success, always optimizing through trial and ongoing learning

What you will bring to Coupa:

  • Well-rounded integrated marketing expertise and creative problem-solving skills—global experience preferred
  • Effective and personable demonstrating passion, objectivity, and poise under pressure
  • Engaging motivational skills as a presenter, communicator and leader
  • Seasoned professional in listening, problem resolution and negotiation skills working with peers and members of the executive team
  • Experienced self-starter with highly effective time management, organizational skills, attention to detail including the ability to create, interpret, and execute a budget
  • Willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 10+ years of agency or corporate marketing experience leading team member performance
  • 5+ years in B2B digital advertising, leveraging paid social, display advertising, CTV, and Google advertising channels while also leading earned and owned digital channels.
  • Proficiency in paid B2B social and online advertising, marketing/sales automation and analytics platforms: LinkedIn, Rollworks, Demandbase, Google Ads, Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau, Google Analytics 4, HotJar, ReportGarden, MNTN, etc. 
  • Proficiency in B2B website development, including SEO, IA/UI/UX, authoring, front- and back-end development (multiple platforms), analytics (GA4, Marketo, SFDC, etc.)
