How You Will Make an Impact
As the Geology Intern, you will have the incredible opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing business! You will collaborate and support the Geology team by creating a wide range of maps using GIS, pulling aggregating and analyzing data from public and government entities, and working on Business Development projects that impact business.
This position is open to students entering their third or final year of their undergraduate degree or a Master's degree.
This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX. This internship will begin on May 29, 2024 through August 9, 2024.
- Pay for students enrolled in an undergraduate program: $20/hour
- Pay for students enrolled in a graduate program: $22/hour
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from public and government sites
- Assist in creating maps for presentations and comprehensive reports
- Help create and update web maps and web applications using the ArcGIS Online platform and ArcGIS Pro
- Digitize maps
- Create Geospatial Data Analytics visualizations
- Summarize & communicate data trends and results
- Support Business Development Projects – geology focused
Minimum Qualifications
- Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor or Masters of Science in Geology or Geophysics or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Driven and eager to learn and create using ArcGIS Pro, ESRI Enterprise, Global Mapper, Google Earth and other software packages
