The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to join our Billing Team!
We’re building a scalable, feature-rich billing system for wealth management firms of all sizes. The platform will enable our clients to accurately bill for their services by managing their fee structures, bill their clients & reconcile the payments received.
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who will build an inclusive team culture, empower engineers to succeed and cultivate an environment that creates high quality engineering processes and product delivery. You love building rich user experiences and can amplify your skills through your team. You’ll work closely with product and design to deliver great products.
Our engineering stack is primarily composed of a Java backend with an Ember frontend, however we don’t require experience with any specific tool set. We use Agile methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Hire, coach and mentor a team of software engineers
- Drive software delivery and improve engineering processes
- Collaborate multi-functionally with product owners designers, programme managers and other Engineering leads to deliver for our clients
- Help your team develop pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
Who You Are
- Several years experience as a professional software engineer with at least 3+ years leading successful teams
- Experience with Java
- Collaborative approach to building feature-rich user experiences
- A strong, hands-on technical approach
- Ability to drive delivery within goal-setting frameworks such as OKRs; to build iterative solutions and respond to client feedback
- Experience with Ember, finance and a public cloud environment is a plus!
