Job Description
As a Product Designer for our Design Ops pillar, your primary focus will be on developing and scaling our design practices to deliver seamless, efficient, and cohesive user experiences across all products. Collaborating closely with other UX pillars, Product, and Engineering teams, you’ll tackle complex design process challenges, streamline workflows, and champion a unified design vision across the different product squads.

Main Duties:
• Support and work within a functional team of UX designers within a collaborative design culture.
• Understand and work to support delivery against pillar UX strategies.
• Understand expectations, timelines and outcomes and when to work independently and as part of a group.
• Help support the creation and implementation of user research.
• Develop on-brand designs that delight our customers and enhance appeal of the game.
• Work with player-centric design methodologies, ensuring that design decisions are rooted in deep player insights, feedback, and usability best practices.
• Understand and utilise available insights to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with developers, artists, and peers to ensure seamless integration of design concepts and maintain design consistency.
• Be aware of the latest UX trends, technologies, and advancements within and outside of the gaming industry, driving innovative design concepts.
• Support a culture of design thinking and innovation, utilising a creative problem-solving mindset.
• Ensure adherence to relevant best practices, brand guidelines and design system framework.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all UX design activities.
Qualifications
Key Skills:
• Experience in creating and optimise design workflows and tools to improve efficiency and foster better collaboration between UX, engineering, and product teams.
• Has led design documentation efforts, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date resources for the team.
• Understanding of evolving and governing a Design System, ensuring it adapts to product changes while maintaining consistency and scalability.
• Can facilitate workshops and discussions to align design teams on goals and methodologies.
• Experience in driving the adoption of design best practices and usability standards across the organisation
• Experience in core subject areas associated with the pillar and associated user journeys and products
• Proficient in User Centred Design, applies an iterative design process focusing on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process.
• Skilled in Interaction Design, designs interactive products and services, going beyond the item in development to include the way users will interact with it.
• Competent with Information Architecture, the design and arrangement of information, content, and navigation in a way that facilitates intuitive and efficient user experiences within digital platforms or systems.
• Capable of Visual Design, uses imagery, colour, shapes, typography, and form to enhance usability and improve the user experience.
• Good knowledge and experience in Wireframing, designs a website service at the structural level, laying out content and functionality on a page and considering user needs and user journeys.
• Good understand of Accessibility & Inclusive Design, ensures that products are convenient to all while considering user diversity.
• Usability Testing Expertise, proficiency in planning, designing, executing, and analysing usability tests. Knowledge of various testing methods, such as moderated and unmoderated testing, remote testing, and eye-tracking.
• Competent in User flows, develops the path taken by a prototypical user on a website or app to complete a task.
• Good collaborator, working together in a coordinated and cooperative manner to achieve a common goal or complete a shared task.
• Capable of Presenting/ demonstrating, convey information, ideas, or products to an audience, using clear communication and engaging techniques to facilitate understanding and engagement.
• Proficient in Workshop coordination, manages facilitated, interactive sessions conducted either in person or remotely for brainstorming, interactive learning, building relationships, and problem-solving with users or customers.
• Good knowledge of Heuristic evaluation uses rules of thumb to measure the usability of user interfaces in independent walkthroughs and report issues.
