Job Description
Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
The main purpose of the role is to be part of the Funds and Operations Team responsible for the firm’s AIFM and Investment Management platform. The core responsibilities will include supporting clients and internal teams with the Investment Committee to ensure correct governance of trades, the production of materials for the launch of new AIFs, including Product Governance Authorisation and Operation Manuals. For AIFs on the firm’s AIFM platform, the responsibilities will additionally extend to the production of AIF Board Reports and assisting in Audits.
This will involve daily communication with the Funds and Operations team, as well as attending client calls and meetings.
The role will include:
Tracking the Private Equity Investment process with clients and internal teams to deadlines and ensure management of risk.
Undertaking appropriate tasks relevant to fund launches alongside ongoing tasks for live funds, and wealth management services, and other matters within scope of the team. These tasks will vary and may cover Legal, Regulatory, Operational and Counterparties.
Ensuring correct governance of the investment process with internal committees and regulator (FCA).
Developing relationships with the portfolio of clients and meeting their needs; escalating issues and resolving them.
Ensuring work produced is subject to the appropriate QA review.
Liaising with the business development function to respond to any relevant queries, or status update requests.
Reporting into relevant Committees and senior management as considered appropriate.
Collaborating with colleagues across the wider IQ-EQ group and contributing to meeting team objectives and coming up with process improvements.
Enhancing own understanding of regulatory landscape and taking learning opportunities that are offered.
Following the set policies and procedures around managing conduct risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or relevant professional industry qualifications.
Financial service industry experience preferably within Fund Administration or similar.
Fund structure knowledge with either Private Equity or listed assets.
Experience within the investment fund industry, with a knowledge of private equity investments and the deal process would be preferable.
