Job Description
The role of Compliance and Administration Assistant is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively, with multiple stakeholders, across a new national green skills and employability pilot project. This role is key to ensuring high quality and compliance standards across the project, which aims to engage service users with multiple and complex barriers to employment, on their journey into Net Zero Careers.
About You
- Highly organised, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal skills - approachable, adaptable, and supportive, to the range of stakeholders involved in this programme.
- Strong knowledge of using Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel, at an intermediate level.
- The ability to develop strong rapport.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Supporting the Operations Manager and Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance standards, and the auditing of staff, through completing DIP monthly tests across contracts.
- Assisting with preparing files and documents for internal and external audits, assisting with audit corrections and actions.
- Ensuring that the office is compliant, and data security is adhered to – including checking that the office floor, rooms, and printers are clear, and that information relating to clients is shredded.
- Inputting and updating client data and performance, ensuring that all paperwork and performance is submitted and tracked efficiently and accurately – supporting staff with loading contractual paperwork onto the in-house data system when necessary.
- Producing reports when required (for all employability contracts), and minute taking.
- Coordinating the purchase of goods and supplies, adding all invoices onto the in-house purchase order system, and completing employability credit card returns – ensuring that the directorate obtains best possible value for money, and that finance activities are actioned, and escalated, in a timely manner.
- Complying with all policies and procedures, including health and safety, and diversity and equality.
- Participating in training and development activities as required, seeking to regularly improve your own performance, contribution, knowledge, and skills.

Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2, in English and Maths
- Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Good cash handling and basic arithmitic skills
Additional Information
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Hours of work: Full time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term, until 31/12/2024
Flexibility: Hybrid working - office based work and outreach work across Norfolk, with opportunities for remote working
*Some evening and weekend working may occasionally be required.
*Interviews will take place in March/April 2024.
