At Catch22, we are proud of our reputation as a modern and progressive employer. Our 1,300 colleagues and volunteers work at every stage of the social welfare cycle, supporting over 60,000 individuals from cradle to career. Our work spans education, social justice and rehabilitation, children's social care, family support, social action and getting people into work.
Young People and Families
Our Young People and Families hub provides early intervention, targeted and specialist support services to those in crisis, leaving care, missing from home or with substance misuse or mental health problems. Services support people no matter what their situation – and have demonstrated a high success rate.
Merton Risk and Resilience
Our Merton Risk and Resilience Service is an integrative, specialist service that provides holistic and tailored support to young people, aged 24 and under, to reduce the use of substance misuse. The service provides return home interviews and specialist support to young people who are vulnerable to being sexually exploited. Catch22 Merton Risk and Resilience Service also promote sexual health and positive health choices through early intervention. We also co-ordinate the C-Card scheme - providing free condoms to young people aged 13-24 years.
The role of School Counsellor is an excellent opportunity to make a different to young people, at a crucial time in their lives. In this role, you will work with several partnership agencies across Merton, to offer structured counselling services, via schools.
Our Young People's Health (YPH) service is for young people aged 11 to 18 years. We aim to provide structured psychological interventions to young people who are using drugs and/or alcohol in order to manage their difficulties, as well as to support young people who are suffering from emotional difficulties below the Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) threshold.
We want to enable our young people to make informed choices and to help them move towards better emotional health, as well as enabling them to engage with life in a more positive manner. By offering a safe and non-judgmental arena, young people are able to explore, share and work on their worries and concerns with a professional therapist, and be better placed to move into improved psychological health.
