How you’ll change it up
In this newly created role within our Procurement function, you’ll be taking the lead on sourcing and contract management for a defined range of suppliers within the active engineering space. Contributing to the overall sourcing strategies set by our Procurement Manager, you’ll ensure effective in-life contract management across your category supply base. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Building and managing key senior internal and supplier relationships
- Developing and implementing the category strategy, using data insights to help add value and inform decision making
- Managing the spend across your category area – working with Finance to create future budgets and review financial performance across the suppliers you manage
- Identifying and managing supply chain risks for your area and proposing solutions
- Negotiating clear, robust, and favourable terms in contractual and commercial frameworks across your categories
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have end-to-end experience in contract management, supplier selection and auditing, as well as the ability to build successful working relationships with stakeholders at a senior level. You’ll also bring the following:
- An understanding of procurement principles around effective category and change management
- Ability to articulate your ideas and strategies to colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Experience working in a changing environment, using your proactive approach to identify improved ways of working
