Job Description

Join Colliers as our EMEA Tax Manager and become an integral part of our expanding finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting our EMEA Head of Tax & Corporate Development, especially in light of our recent growth and restructuring. You'll play a crucial role in managing tax compliance and reporting across the EMEA region, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our tax operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

  • Prepare and file tax returns across various EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage responses to tax audits and inquiries from local tax authorities.
  • Assist in the quarterly US GAAP tax reporting process.

Tax Planning Support:

  • Aid in developing tax planning strategies under senior guidance.
  • Analyse tax implications of business initiatives and projects.

Research and Analysis:

  • Research tax legislation changes in the EMEA region and summarize findings.
  • Analyse and interpret tax laws and policies for decision-making support

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with internal teams for information gathering and tax support.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external advisors.

Administrative and Technical Support:

  • Provide administrative support in tax matters, including document preparation and data management.
  • Utilise tax software for tax computations and reporting.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in a tax-related role, preferably with EMEA tax exposure.
  • Basic understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Keen to learn and advance in the tax field.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; tax software proficiency is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional EMEA language skills are advantageous.
