The Embelex Division of the Aftermarket Apparel Solutions Group will hire two Production/Operations Support Team Members for our Embelex Miamisburg Operations.
Entry level responsibilities include inspection, weeding, and calendaring. As core competencies are developed, has the flexibility to work in other areas, on cross-functional activities, or projects as assigned. We are growing and this team member has a willingness to learn and to train others!
Assignments will vary depending upon business needs. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
Weeding
Calendaring/Garment Application
Finishing/Trim
Heat Transfer
Inspection
Packaging
Manual activities: such as shipping and receiving, movement and storage of product/materials/pallets, workstation replenishment
Inventory management: such as counting, quality inspection, and corresponding recordkeeping and reporting
Use of tools including: craft picker hand tool, hand truck, scales, and measuring devices
Use of various machines and printing equipment, as training allows
As a member of a production support team; may train, will assist and support other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals.
Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process
Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assists other areas as required
Possess the ability to be cross-trained and flexible to provide support where needed
Based on business need, assists/supports in other job functions within material handling processes or other company processes within scope and ability
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
0-2 years of experience in a production environment
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly participative work team
Ability to work independently, under moderate to minimal supervision in a safe and timely manner
Ability to read, interpret and administer SOPs, manuals, instructions, customer requirements, special packaging or quality standards
Ability to understand special instructions and and follow directions
Must be able to use basic math calculations, count and use various measurement devices
Must have logical problem solving skills
Ability to push, pull, twist, bend, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Must be motivated towards productivity improvement
