Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Operation:
• Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, stackers, and other related machinery.
• Load, unload, move, and stack materials in the correct storage locations.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Inventory Management:
• Assist in inventory control by ensuring accurate counts of incoming and outgoing goods.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
• Record movement of goods in the inventory system.
• Maintenance and Safety:
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of the equipment to ensure it’s in good working condition.
• Report any defects or issues with equipment to supervisors immediately.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA or other relevant safety standards.
• Loading/Unloading:
• Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring that all products are stored safely and efficiently.
• Use material handling equipment to move products to designated areas.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the warehouse team, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient and timely material flow.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflows.
• Documentation:
• Complete all necessary documentation, including inventory logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience operating MHE such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other related equipment is preferred.
• Certifications: Valid MHE operator certification (e.g., forklift certification) as required by local regulations.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling techniques.
• Ability to operate MHE safely and efficiently.
• Basic math skills for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50-75 lbs) safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, and operate MHE for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
