Job Description
Make your mark as a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer!
Gardline are looking to recruit Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team.
Your responsibilities:
- Collect high quality data and sample collection, management and interpretation of results and collate the findings in a comprehensive geotechnical factual report.
- Supervise ongoing projects and provide input and liaise with geotechnical project engineers and clients on geotechnical laboratory schedules, associated specifications, and reporting.
- Supervise geotechnical project engineers and provide technical assistance to ongoing offshore projects.
- Mentor and train geotechnical engineers.
- Acquire and process high quality CPTu & SCPTu geotechnical data.
- Undertake basic offshore laboratory testing and soil and rock logging.
- Supervise and be responsible for a team of geotechnical staff on offshore projects.
- Perform computerized data processing and prepare results in accordance with industry standards and in-house practices.
- Oversee the compilation and QC field geotechnical reports offshore.
- Oversee the compilation and QC factual/engineering geotechnical reports onshore.
- Get involved in consultancy activities and play a key role in development of technical methodologies and maintaining current processing and reporting processes in line with current industry standards.
Your qualities:
You can make your mark as a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer:
- A minimum BSc or equivalent degree with a specialisation in the Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering.
- High level of experience in offshore geotechnical data acquisition
- Quality control and processing/Interpretation of CPT data and seabed samples.
- Production of geotechnical reports.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced laboratory testing.
- Mentor and train geotechnical engineers.
- Development of procressing and reporting methodologies.
- Ability to travel (up-to-date Passport and valid Driving License)
