Job Description
As a Finance Master Data Officer, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and security of the financial system master data. You will work closely with other departments to establish and enforce policies and procedures for the creation, maintenance, and sharing of master data. In addition, you will identify opportunities for data quality improvement and data governance and work to integrate master data into business processes and systems.
specific responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the creation, maintenance, and sharing of financial master data with a primary focus on Supplier and Customer master data.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and security of master data across the financial system.
- Identify opportunities for data quality improvement and data governance
- Work closely with other departments, such as IT, finance transformation, finance, procurement and operations, to integrate master data into business processes and systems.
- Manage the master data and day-to-day activities and ensure processes are efficient and compliant with our internal control framework.
- Monitor master data compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards and adhere to relevant internal standards, procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure alignment of master data management practices.
- Prepare monthly summary on the master data statistic and support finance manager and other department in any queries they may have in relation with the finance master data.
Qualifications
- degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field,
- 5+ years of experience in master data management or a related field,
- Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices,
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills,
- Strong Office computer skills and project management and leadership skills,
- Interest in process efficiency and process digitalization,
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Sun and Oracle will be an added advantage.
- Certification in data management or related field is a plus.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously,
- Strong attention to detail.
