Job Description
Job Title: Project Management Support
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
Job Location: Glasgow, Office based role
To provide support for all aspects of the SGS Vitrology Management team, with a primary focus on subcontracting logistical services and reporting, ensuring all duties and tasks are performed in accordance with relevant Good Manufacturing and Good Laboratory Practice (GMP/GLP) guidelines.
Key Accountabilities;
To provide support to the Subcontract Manager, Project Managers, and Test Item Manager on all related tasks.
Manage sub-contracted projects in a timely manner.
Managing the shipment of samples to subcontractors in a timely manner
Liaising with the subcontractors, Project Managers, and operational staff to resolve any issues that occur within subcontracted testing.
Review reports and data provided by subcontractors, ensuring all compliance standards are met.
Provide support to Project Managers and Subcontract Project Managers on KPI and timeline management.
Attend regular meetings with subcontract sites to discuss timelines and any issues that arise
Issue clients with preliminary results.
Ensure shipping permits are acquired from subcontractors in a timely manner to facilitate sample shipment.
Manage purchase order/billing for subcontracted studies.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a scientific background and laboratory skills relevant to the role, as well as good verbal and written communication and project coordination skills.
In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
Ability to work under pressure, to tight timelines
Previous experience of managing scientific projects or studies
Experience of working in a GLP/GMP environment
Experience managing subcontractors
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. BSc Hons in biological science). An alternative level of expertise may be appropriate.
