Job Description
- Job Title: Fire Risk Assessor
- Location: UK Wide – Field Based
- Salary: Competitive
- Hours: 40
Main Purpose of Role
Fire Risk Assessor – Key Role
- To conduct Fire Risk Assessments at client sites as required by the needs of the business.
- To conduct additional Fire tasks as required by the needs of the business.
- To ensure that all internal procedures are understood and to ensure successful audits during the initial induction period.
- To support the Fire department in meeting client expectations and delivery of KPI’s by:
- Facilitating SGS workflow and contract requirements by travelling to site locations as required by the needs of the business.
- Facilitating SGS workflow and contract requirements by undertaking work outside of normal working hours as required by the needs of the business (IE weekends, or early morning, late afternoon)
Legionella Risk Assessor – Secondary Role
- To conduct Legionella Risk Assessments at client sites as required by the needs of the business.
- To conduct additional water hygiene tasks as required by the needs of the business.
- To ensure that all internal procedures are understood and to ensure successful audits during the initial induction period.
- To support the water hygiene department in meeting client expectations and delivery of KPI’s
Asbestos Consultant – Secondary Role
- To undertake asbestos surveys and air monitoring at client sites as required by then needs of the business.
- Understand the following legislation: Control of Asbestos Regulations, HSG 263 Asbestos: The survey Guide & HSG248 The Analyst Guide.
- To ensure that all internal procedures are understood and to ensure successful audits during the initial induction period.
- To support the water hygiene department in meeting client expectations and delivery of KPI’s
Qualifications
How to be a successful candidate:
Essential
- At least 12 months experience undertaking risk assessments in domestic and commercial buildings
- Experience in using hand held digital devices on a daily basis to input risk assessment data.
The Fire risk assessor will have, as a minimum, at least one of the following qualifications:
- Appropriate proficiency module certificates for Fire risk assessment
- Legionella Risk Assessor Course
- P402, P403 & P404 Asbestos Qualifications
Desirable
- Greater than 4 years experience overall
- NEBOSH Fire Qualification
