Job Descrption
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team as an Associate. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit and Loss accounts and Balance Sheets.
• VAT Compliance: Manage VAT registration and submission of returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Corporate Tax Registration: Handle corporate tax registration and submit returns as per regulatory guidelines.
• Project Participation: Participate in ad-hoc projects, contributing to various aspects as required.
• Cloud Accounting System Maintenance: Set up and maintain a cloud accounting system for efficient financial management. Ensure accurate recording of all sales, implementing a robust system to identify and address issues.
• Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Oversee the recording and invoicing system, ensuring effective tracking and periodic monitoring of debtors. Maintain the purchasing system, reconcile creditor statements, and handle queries efficiently.
• FTA Portal Registration: Register for VAT and corporate tax on the FTA Portal as and when required.
• Tax Return Submission: Submit VAT and Corporate Tax Returns in accordance with regulatory timelines.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Strong Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven Accounting Experience: Proven experience in accounting, preferably in an accounting firm or industry position.
• Accounting Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a strong foundation in accounting principles and procedures.
• Desirable UAE Experience: UAE experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
