Join a market leading Food Manufacturer as a Site Technical Lead!
Are you passionate about quality, food safety, and leading a team to success? My client is seeking an experienced Site Technical Lead to help shape their culture of excellence in quality and food safety, integrating them into the core of their operations. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the technical standards of their brand new state of the art purpose built site in line with legislation and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead external site audits and ensure compliance with all legislative, customer, and BRC standards.
• Maintain and enhance food safety and quality management systems, ensuring all products meet safety, quality, and legal standards.
• Oversee new product development, ensuring the successful launch of new products while documenting the entire process.
• Manage technical operations, including HACCP, Food Safety, and... Quality systems, and ensure team members align with both internal and external standards.
• Handle customer KPIs, liaise with suppliers and customers, and manage corrective and preventative actions.
• Lead the HACCP Food Safety team and stay ahead of legislative changes, communicating necessary updates throughout the business.
• Drive continuous improvement across the site by managing non-conformance issues, overseeing sampling programs, and fostering a strong food safety culture.
• Work collaboratively with senior management to meet company, legislative, and customer standards, while delivering high-quality performance under pressure.
What They Are Looking For:
• A strong technical background with sector expertise, including a deep understanding of quality assurance requirements, HACCP, and BRC.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a food safety or technical management role.
• Proven experience in leading GFSI accreditation and customer audits, managing teams, and driving cultural change in a fast-paced environment.
• Educated to degree level in a food-related discipline, with Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, and Internal Auditor training highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing business circumstances and tight deadlines.
