About Us:
Titan Entertainment Group, the UK's leading creator of Sci-Fi and cult entertainment, is currently recruiting for a Junior Web Developer to work on Titan’s state-of-the-art web projects. Working with the support of a senior web developer and closely with a junior web developer and a web designer, you will embark on a variety of tasks ranging from component design and implementation to an entire overhaul of a Django-based web application.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject (2.1 or above) or equivalent experience. It is essential that you have good communication skills, must be passionate about web development and cutting-edge technologies, have the ability to learn things quickly, and have strong skills in HTML and CSS. Knowledge of Linux, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Git, and/or JavaScript is desirable... Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in Django, but we will happily train the right person. Experience in web frameworks such as Ruby-on-Rails would be an advantage, as would any knowledge/experience in Python.
The successful candidate will be a key player in the web team, creating interface designs and layouts, as well as being involved in the web build process, supporting the development team through the full design life cycle. The workload is wide-ranging, with the post holder working on a variety of projects from one-off websites to the support and maintenance of larger web applications.
