A talented Junior Full Stack Web Developer / Junior Developer (with knowledge of technologies such as PHP, Bootstrap, JQuery, MySQL and Docker or similar) is needed to join uTalk, a leading software technology company which develops ground breaking language learning solutions. Based in SW (near Parsons Green Tube Station) this role is perfect for an enthusiastic Web Developer eager to grow in a dynamic role.
Founded in 1991, uTalk is a leader in the field of language learning. Our fun, effective, and simple approach has attracted over 30 million users globally, supporting their language development journey. Technology underpins everything we do, and as a result, software development plays a key part in our future roadmap. We now have a rare opening for a Junior Full Stack Web Developer to join our friendly and established development team.
As a Junior Developer, you will become an active member of the team, contributing directly to our success by working on a range of projects... including our web presence, customer management systems, and online store. If you are technically adept, eager to learn new skills, and looking to make an impact in a flexible, supportive environment, this role is for you.
Key Requirements: Whether you call yourself a Web Developer, PHP Developer, Full Stack Developer, Junior Full Stack Web Developer or similar, we do not mind, what matters to us is that youre passionate about your craft. Your CV should demonstrate the following:
• Experience in one or two web programming languages, preferably PHP
• Familiarity with a range of web technologies, including Amazon AWS, Bootstrap, JQuery, MySQL
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with strong communication skills
• A desire to learn and grow in the role
• Strong academic performance in Maths, IT, or Computer Science, OR a degree in Computer Science or Maths
Bonus Skills: Exposure to Docker or similar containerisation technologies would be a plus, as would prior experience in a full stack role, knowledge of web security, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
