Your mission
At any time, permanent contract, on-site with our clients during the week or virtually Your mission An opportunity for an ambitious procurement consultant to build on their experience in project leadership. As a Senior Manager, you'll work closely with clients to lead consulting teams to drive savings and create value for our clients. You will manage all aspects of client relationships and you'll relish a big challenge. Most of all, you'll need to be energetic and highly motivated with the passion to achieve outstanding results.
You should have a passion for procurement and proven experience leading cost optimization programs in a consulting environment... Experience working within a multi-national environment is desired, ideally pan-European projects. You will be expected to be able to take the lead role in the end-to-end delivery of value creation projects, from cost-saving initiative generation to the execution of the associated procurement processes.
As well as managing projects, this is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial management consultancy including business development, practice development, and building leading-edge methodologies to support client services. We are looking for ambitious people with the ability to become partners in the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and leading procurement consulting projects
• Managing senior client relationships
• Managing a variety of stakeholders, at all levels
• Managing high-performing consulting teams and individuals
• Implementation of cost improvement procurement programs
• Conducting key supplier negotiations
• Supporting, coaching, and delivering all aspects of procurement cost reduction; from spend analysis to sourcing to contract implementation
• Supporting business development, practice development, and methodology development
Your profile
Your experience (essential):
• Project leadership with a recognized UK/European procurement consultancy
• Significant experience running procurement projects with large, private sector clients
• Led value optimization/change programs (within a procurement environment)
• Strong category knowledge ideally, within a multi-national environment
Our Senior Managers bring a range of skills to the H&Z team. Ideally, you will have:
• An excellent degree
• At least seven years of consulting experience with a leading consultancy
• Background of personally delivering procurement outcomes across direct and indirect spend areas
• Project management skillset
• Team management experience
• Clear understanding of procurement cost saving projects
• Excellent client management and relationship building skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Great people skills and ability to work hard as part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Fluent in English, with another European language as an advantage (German language knowledge highly desirable)
• Desire to play a key role in developing a growing procurement consultancy
What do we offer you?
Working Arrangements & Travel
Our consultants are completely flexible and mobile in their work; traveling and operating on-site with clients, working with our teams from H&Z offices, and also working from home. Work location is determined by the client, the project, and the business. We work on a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days per week in office/ on client site, with travel requirements determined at very short notice, therefore you must be flexible, enjoy travel, and be able to work remotely.
