A&F Haulage LTD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in IT applications, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement transport strategies that align with the overall supply chain objectives.
• Manage daily transport operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods while optimising costs.
• Coordinate with logistics providers and suppliers to maintain effective communication and service levels.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation and maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
• Prepare and analyse reports on transport performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• comply with DVSA and H&S compliance at all time.
• Provide exceptional... customer service by addressing any transport-related inquiries or issues promptly.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; familiarity with IT systems related to transport management is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
• A valid driving licence is required for site visits.
